Apart from the print sales, available through this link (http://www.forceofthestreet.com/prints.htm), because of the project has been so well accepted by everyone, the ABC Trust have decided to develop a new and different version of A Força da Rua in the future. An amazing auction night raised almost £40,000 for ABC Trust!
More than 200 people enjoyed a great evening at the Cuckoo Club on the 29th April, when the successful auction of the customized guitars raised almost £40,000 for ABC Trust. Familiar faces could be spotted among the crowd including ABC film director Lorna Lavelle and the participant artists Inkie, Remi/Rough, Pure Evil, Kid Acne, Will Barras and Lovefoxxx - who was also DJing during the evening alongside Patchwork Pirates from Thugs & Hugs.
The audience were excited during the auction of the 12 guitars designed by the street artists, followed by the guitar by Brazilian pop band CSS’s frontwoman Lovefoxxx and the fantastic experience of a private guitar lesson with ABC Patron and Queen guitarist Brian May. Wooping and claps dominated Pure Evil’s guitar auction moment, which received the highest bid of the night, just followed by Calma’s.
ABC would like to give a special thanks all the artists who donated their talent and time to make this event possible, as well as Lorna Lavelle, Terence Teh, design competition winner Claire Horgan, drink sponsors Leblon and Palma Louca and everyone else who contributed to the project.
A Força da Rua is still moving with exclusive collaborative prints sales, specially designed by Tinho with Will Barras and Calma with Kid Acne. Click here learn more or get in touch to auction@forceofthestreet.com
